The Museum of the Earth Sciences (MES) is open from October through November and from January through April while Radford University is in session. It is closed when Radford University is closed.
From May through August, visits may be scheduled by appointment. Contact the MES for details.
Normal hours of operation during the MES open season are:
- Mondays and Wednesdays - 11 am to 2 pm
- Tuesdays and Thursdays - 2 pm to 5 pm
- 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month - 10 am to Noon
MES is located on the first floor of Curie Hall in room 143 on the campus of Radford University. Curie Hall is located immediately east of the McConnell Library.
Admission to MES is free to all visitors during scheduled hours of operation. Some special events or exhibits may entail a small fee. Information about these special events or exhibits will be found in the Museum News when they are scheduled.
Parking on the Radford University campus is by permit only except for a number of metered parking spaces, some of which are located behind Curie Hall, between the hours of 7 am to 6 pm. Monday through Friday or the University Police Department after 4:30 pm and on weekends.
Official visitors and guests of the university must obtain a valid visitor parking permit prior to parking in any university lot. A visitor's permit is available at Parking Service's Office located in Heth Hall Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm. After 4:30 pm and on weekends, a permit may be obtained from the University Police Department in Allen Hall.
