Surrounded on three sides by the New River, Radford is the New River City. Home to Radford University and a short drive to VA Tech and New River Community College, Radford is centrally located off I-81 between exits 109 and 105 and has easy access to the entire New River Valley.

  • Radford Fiddle and Banjo Jam

    Radford Coffee Company
    Monday, October 21
    6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

    The Radford Fiddle and Banjo Jam is a bluegrass jam session held every Monday in the intimate environment of River Coffee Company. Bring an instrument or just listen to the sounds of bluegrass and old-time mountain music played by local musicians. The jam appeals to a cross-section of folks from old-school bluegrass fans to college students. A large crowd gathers every Monday, so get your table early.

The Radford Visitor’s Center has been busy compiling a map of art in the city as well as on Radford University. This is an amazing activity for the family as well as a way to see the finer things in Radford. 

If you end up on the trail, you will pass many delicious restaurants and unique stores. There is so much to see in Radford!

The women memorialized in the soon to be unveiled bronze statues and on the Wall of Honor represent over 400 years of the achievements of women in Virginia's history.
